Project Summary
John Lawrie Tubulars supplied 2650.66 metres of 273mm dia steel pipe to be used for the foundations of two wind turbine bases in Tacher Wind farm.
Our client FK Lowry working on behalf of Knights Brown managed the installation of the 138no 273mm diameter steel tubes, driving the bearing piles to depths of between 12 -17m.
Project Challenges
Tacher Wind farm is a remote site and the installation was carried out in challenging winter conditions. John Lawrie Tubulars supported the installation by scheduling deliveries to maintain continuity of works. Our closely monitored ‘just in time management’ approach helped our clients to overcome space restrictions on site and keep the project on time and on budget despite the weather!
