177.8mm Dia Galvanised Steel Helical Endformedᵀᴹ Piles with Square hats for Telecoms installation.
Using John Lawrie Tubulars’ repurposed tubular products and bespoke procedures saved this project 5.80 tonnes of CO2e. That’s a 97.21% saving over the production of new prime steel products.
Project Summary
John Lawrie Tubulars supplied 177.8 mm Helical Piles, Square Top Hats and a customised Drive Head. The products were extended using our next generation EndformedTM connection system and galvanised ready to be installed as foundations for a telecoms mast.
Project Challenges
Our client was approached to design and install a steel pile foundation for a new telecoms mast, in Derby. Due to ground conditions and high water table they opted for a steel grillage.
They confirmed that our ability to fabricate the Top Hats for the grillage meant these pieced together well and no design clashes being from different fabricators.
